An introduction to Muay Thai Kickboxing

Thailand’s national sport, Muay Thai, is recognised globally as the most effective striking art today. Honed over a period of 2000 years, it is a graceful blend of punches, kicks, elbows and knees, along with various clinching techniques.

At Extreme, our professional coaches and fighters will help you to achieve your goals, whether you are simply looking to learn self-defence and improve your cardio fitness, or to develop striking techniques to complement the stand-up aspect of your kickboxing MMA training regime.

Our classes are suited to all levels of skill and experience.

For the beginner or novice

If you have little or no experience in Thai Boxing, our Beginner Classes are the place to start! You will learn basic striking techniques whilst developing balance, coordination, rhythm, speed and power. These classes provide a great cardiovascular workout, promoting fitness, muscle toning and weight loss.

For the more advanced student

If you have experience in Thai Boxing, our Intermediate Classes will further your previous training by focusing on more advanced striking techniques, incorporating drills to improve stamina, endurance, strength and speed, teaching you the art of efficient movement to generate maximum power.

If you have been training consistently for at least three months, you can also test your skills in our Thai Sparring Classes. Sparring with like-minded training partners is not only a great way to get an extra kick out of training, it is also a fantastic opportunity to learn from others, and a valuable asset for students considering pushing themselves to a competitive level.
